Had Directv for just over a year, When I signed up they said the packages I choose came with the NFL Sunday package. I told them I did not want it would not watch it, They said not to worry that it was free with our package, Last month I was having some health issues taken care of through the VA.This month we checked our billing and found our bill had jumped up to $189,00 way more than we can afford. I went on line to check our statement to see what the problem was and found the nfl package for about forty dollars I called and told them I did not order this package, Agent said they sent out notice with statement informing us they would charge for this and if I did not call and tell them I did not want it by September 27 they would charge us for it. I told him I do not look at the paperless statement on line unless there is a problem and they confirmed I had not looked at any statements since may, and I was ill and did not catch the first month charge but caught the second one. He said no problem we will credit you and cancel package since I did not order it and did not see their notice on statement. When transferred to nfl package group they said no way, After the 27th they could not cancel and would not credit the two months of charges. I told Gwen I did not want the package she said would not credit any amount and I had to keep paying for it for 4 more months and could not cancel it. This not right they said they know when you look at the statement on line and know if you have received notice of being signed up for something you did not order. We are both disabled and on fixed incomes and cannot afford this package. We did not take their premium HBO package because we could afford. I told they to check and see I have watched their NFL PACKAGE,they know it too as they monitor its usage, Told the lady I would look for replacement service and she asked if I wanted to be connected to cancel service as it would be less than paying for the package. They need my 240 dollars for this package and let me go else where for my entire service crazy to me.
